Report: EU official says expects no new anti-Russian sanctions
MOSCOW, Apr 20 (PRIME) -- The E.U. believes that new anti-Russian sanctions are over as introduction of new sanctions will cause more exclusions than the sanctions themselves, the Financial Times newspaper reported on Thursday citing an unnamed European official.
Many European officials understand that the spheres of the Russian economy that have not yet been affected by the sanctions are vital for some E.U. states so the states would veto them, the newspaper reported.
The next packages of sanctions will only expand the list of sanctioned people and tighten the existing measures, the newspaper reported citing officials working on the new packages of the E.U.’s anti-Russian sanctions.
